Job Duties:
- This role focuses on providing on-site and project support to clients within your area. You'll often travel to client locations to troubleshoot and resolve issues with computers, networks, servers, internet connections, and other IT needs.
- When your on-site schedule is clear, you'll handle remote support tasks. Effective communication and courteous interaction with clients are essential for success in this role.
- You'll also be responsible for documenting both on-site and remote support activities in our ticketing system and keeping client records updated.
- Additionally, you’ll assist the installation team with server, network, and computer deployments, as well as other projects that require extra hands.
- While working remotely, you will handle incoming calls, assign tasks, update tickets, and manage other support-related activities as needed.
Requirements:
- Outstanding Customer Service Skills – While we are a technology-focused business, building strong client relationships is our top priority!
- Experience: At least 3 years in an IT support role, with MSP experience strongly preferred.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in configuring firewalls, switches, wireless systems, and VLANs.
- Basic Knowledge: Familiarity with Windows Servers, Active Directory, Group Policy, and Microsoft 365 administration.
- Virtualization: A foundational understanding of technologies like Hyper-V.
- Desktop Support Expertise: Skilled in desktop hardware repair, drive replacement, disk imaging, operating system installations, malware removal, and troubleshooting email systems.
- Work Ethic: A self-motivated individual who can thrive independently or collaboratively, and maintain confidence when working with clients, even in challenging situations.
- Work Location: Baton Rouge, LA and two hours surrounding, and remote from home.
Work Remotely
- Hybrid Role – You'll have the flexibility to work from home on some days, but there will be scheduled days where you're required to work from our office.
